1. Purpose
We want a safe, trustworthy ecosystem for food businesses. This policy describes use that is not permitted and how we respond to breaches.
2. Prohibited content & conduct
You must not use the Services to:
- Upload, publish or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that infringes any third-party right.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any.
- Distribute malware, spyware, ransomware or any other harmful code.
- Engage in unsolicited bulk marketing in breach of the CPA or POPIA direct-marketing provisions.
- Misrepresent food safety status, certifications or audit results.
3. Technical restrictions
- No scraping, harvesting, or automated extraction of platform data without our prior written consent.
- No reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempts to derive source code (except as permitted by mandatory law).
- No probing, scanning or testing for vulnerabilities without a written authorisation from us.
- No interference with, or disruption of, the platform, its servers or networks (including DoS attacks).
- No circumventing usage limits, rate limits, or paid-tier entitlements.
4. Sentinel data
Sentinel intelligence is licensed for your internal risk and compliance use. You may not republish, resell, redistribute, or build a competing data product on top of Sentinel feeds. Citations of individual incidents for editorial or compliance reporting are permitted with attribution to MAP Food Nexus.
5. Marketplace listings
Listings must accurately describe products and services, include valid contact information, and comply with all applicable health, safety and labelling regulations (including Regulation R638). Misleading, fraudulent or prohibited listings will be removed.
6. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse to support@mapfoodsafetysolutions.co.za. We investigate every report.
7. Enforcement
Breaches may result in warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or termination without refund, depending on severity. Where conduct may constitute a criminal offence we may report it to the South African Police Service or another competent authority.
